• I have forgotten my password

  Click on "Forgotten Password" in your log in line - input your username. A new password will be emailed to your personal email address. You can change this new password in your Account Settings

• What is a username?

  A username is how you will be identified on the site - if you wish to remain anonymous - please use a username that will not identify you

• I want to delete a CV

  No problem - go to Manage CV > Your CV Control Panel - and delete the CV you want to - use this with care - as you may want to use or edit this CV again

• I having problems attaching my word format CV

  Ensure that your CV is in word format and that the document is no bigger than 150 kb - and ensure you are adding it from the correct file in your computer

• I want to modify/delete/update my Hospitality Recruitment CV

  You can modify / delete / edit your CV at any time - go to Manage CV > Your CV control panel

• Can I put my CV into the database anonymously?

  YES - You can place your CV into the database or take it out at any time - via your CV control Panel Ensure you choose a username and CV title that nobody can identify you with - or match to you (these do not affect the employers search in any way

• How do I receive email JOB ALERTS

  You can develop and compose email alerts in two ways
  1. By using both searches (i.e basic or advanced) and clicking on "make email alert" on the bottom of the form
  2. By using your email alert control panel - and clicking on "make new alert"

• I want to add/change/delete my email alerts

  Once again this is a very simple process as we provide you an email alert control panel - in your Manage CV's centre. In this control panel you can edit or delete any email alert you wish. Your control panel is automatically created once you create your first email alert

• I want to change/update/delete my account

  You can change/delete your account details - (with the exception of your username) in your account settings
  If you want your account completely deleted contact us using our contact form

• I have applied to a job but I have not heard anything - Has the employer received my CV?

  YES - the employer will have received your CV - but it is important to remember that it can take some time for employers to respond. It is also important to remember that some employers do not respond to unsuccessful CV's. We offer follow up tips in our "Get that Job" section for our Jobseekers. If after 10 days you have not had any communication from the employer and they have provided a telephone number (and/or) email address it is not considered unprofessional (and generally viewed as being pro-active) to follow up your application. One follow-up phone call - or email to the employer is acceptable, after that it might seem like pestering.

• Why can't I use the same email twice?

  Primarily this is due to the restrictions imposed by the Data Protection Act - which we strictly adhere to - for your own protection. But using just one email address does NOT limit - nor in any way affect your use of this site and the amount of CV's / alerts etc you can add. If you wish to set up other accounts - which are entitled to do so - you can use the email address services of yahoo.co.uk and hotmail etc.

• I have found a job - I want this indicated on my details

  Congratulations - regarding your CV's you can take them offline in your CV control panel (you can leave them there and update them at any time if you start looking for another job). You can also do the same with your email alerts (make then inactive) in your email alert control panel - you may want to use them - or edit them at a later stage. If the account remains un-used for a period of 6 months you will receive an email from us informing you that you account is still there - but un-used

• I can't log-in (or my machine/browser is telling it will not accept cookies)

  When using this site your security options in Internet Explorer has to be configured correctly. In Internet Explorer 5.0 click on "Tools" - scroll down to "Internet Options" and click on this. On the bar at the top you will see a tab "Security" - click on this - at the bottom you will see the box "custom level" - click on this. Scroll down this menu until you see the options relating to cookies and ensure that both "enable" boxes is ticked. Once completed click on OK - until you have completed the process. In Internet Explorer 6 - the cookies information is in the Privacy Tab - scroll up and down the bar - ensuring that it is on medium level - then click OK. For other browser cookie information - please refer to their help section in their browser bar.

• Am I legally entitled to work in the UK?

  Any person wishing to work in the UK must have right of residence - that applies to all British Citizens and some Commonwealth Nationals - are allowed to work in the UK. Any other person needs permission (ie work permit) to work in the UK

  Work Permits
  An application for a work permit must be made by an employer (it cannot be made by a jobseeker) to the Department of Education and Employment. It is common practise that this department tends to issue work permits to employers who have specific job offers for named person - or where there is are particular shortage of skilled workers.

  Working Holidays
  In the UK there is a scheme called the "Working Holidaymakers Scheme" - there are certain rules which apply to this - the rules have recently been changed to the "Working Holidaymakers Scheme" in a very positive way. We have provided you with a basic overview:-

  • You are aged between 17-30 years
  • You are a commonwealth Citizen, British Dependent Territories Citizen, or British Overseas Citizen
  • You want to an extended holiday in the UK and intend to take employment during it
  • You are single or married to a person- who qualifies as a working holidaymaker and you plan to take the extended holiday together
  • You do not have children over 5 years old - or children who reach the age of 5 before completing your extended holiday
  • Your holiday is the main reason for your visit (not work)
  • You are able to support yourself without recourse to any Government or public benefits in the UK
  • You have means to pay for your onward journey
  • You intend to leave the UK when you have reached the end of your holiday period
