Third Space hosts 4 of London’s luxury health clubs across inspiring central London locations. We are committed to ensuring outstanding quality and excellence in every area of our offering and making continuous improvements to our member experience. In June 2018, we are opening our doors to our brand new, best in class Health Club in the heart of the City of London and we’re currently looking for a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective and continuous operation of equipment and machinery throughout the premises and ensuring the facilities are safe to work in.

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the maintenance team effectively and will direct, coordinate and manage all ongoing and planned preventative maintenance activities within the club and the ‘care and repair’ of all capital equipment. You will manage expenditure and budgets and ensure industry requirements are followed at all times, also updating team members on any changes to procedures or practice and implement timely and efficiently. You’ll oversee projects, review priorities and ensure they are actioned accordingly and schedule regular maintenance activities such as service visits. Routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and carrying out general repairs and upkeep of the facility is essential at all times and you’ll ensure that there is sufficient cover in place, that work is accurately recorded and logged and budgets are not exceeded. You’ll also be responsible for fire life safety systems being routinely checked and maintained for safety compliance.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager who has previous experience

  • of planned & scheduled maintenance involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
  • Working knowledge of simple electrical circuits, PAT testing;
  • A sound understanding of: Electricity at Work and Health / Safety at Work regulations & best practice;
  • Knowledge of heating and ventilation systems (BSM) –HVAC;
  • Computer literate, preferably with some experience of planned maintenance systems;
  • Proven practical experience and knowledge of building maintenance;
  • Proven practical experience and knowledge of electrical systems both single and three phase;
  • Working with external contractors/suppliers.
