Housekeeping Supervisor

Reporting to the Operations Manager, leading the housekeeping team to provide efficient, prompt, and outstanding guest service to all of Staycity’s guests on arrival and throughout their stay. To promote a positive image of the property to guests and be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.

Customer Satisfaction & Expectation

  • Maintain develop and exceed guest satisfaction
  • Initiate and maintain rapport with customers
  • Assist with complaints were possible and resolve in conjunction with the Front Office / Operations Manager and or General manager
  • Addresses and resolves questions or problems relating to guest queries

Housekeeping

  • To clean and prepare the apartments in line with Housekeeping SOPs and productivity guidelines.
  • To maintain a professional image at all times.
  • To ensure security and privacy of guests and their possessions.
  • To deliver and collect any items requested/used by guests and permitted by line manager.
  • Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Staycity operations
  • Accepts any tasks as required by your line manager for uninterrupted Staycity operations
  • Maintains own work area and maintains clean, tidy and in a safe manner; reports defective materials and equipment to appropriate person within the operation
  • Continuously seeks to endeavour and improve the department’s efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function

Health and Safety

  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately
  • Is well updated on and possesses solid knowledge of the following:
  • Staycity fire, bomb and emergency procedures Staycity health and safety policies and procedures Ensures the safety of people and property within the premises by applying Staycity regulations and adhering to existing laws and regulations

Information 

  • Attend team meetings as required 
  • Communicates effectively with customers, colleagues and managers. 
  • Ensures guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and enquires courteously and efficiently
  • Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Staycity operations
  • Accepts any tasks as required by your line manager for uninterrupted Staycity operations and to support teamwork as per business requirements
  • Maintains own work area clean, tidy and in a safe manner; reports defective materials and equipment to appropriate person within the operation

  • Is well updated on and possesses solid knowledge of Staycity facilities, standards of operation, and brand and departmental procedures.

 

Managing the Team

  • Manage and motivate a team of direct reports on a daily basis, including undertaking 1 to 1’s and regular reviews
  • Work in co-operation with other departments, developing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, ensuring that there is regular communication across the entire team.
  • Operate within the quality standards set out in the SOP’s, monitoring and taking action to any feedback within a timely manner
  • Create appropriate rosters to ensure that they are in line with Staycity productivity standards

Hours of Work:

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be required to work shifts covering weekends
