As our Night Auditor you will be required to deliver high standards of general bar, cleaning and security duties overnight.  You will provide our guests with a professional and helpful service, including check in / check outs.

As our Night Auditor, you will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations. You will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of our established brand standards. As a result you should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards. You should have a warm, personable nature and a can do attitude. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Reporting to the Night Manager, your duties and key responsibilities as our Night Auditor will include:

  • Check-in late arrivals, providing a warm, vibrant welcome and offering full explanation of the services available (noting any special requirements).
  • Check-out early departures in a friendly, courteous manner and ensure charges posted are correct and supporting documentation is available.
  • Take every opportunity to upsell F&B facilities, including meetings and events.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of the hotel’s facilities and be able to convey information regarding other hotels within Village.
  • Have knowledge of rates and terms of business and take every opportunity to upsell rooms with the aim of achieving maximum occupancy at our rate.
  • Deal with complaints politely and positively making every effort to resolve there and then.  If unable to resolve, pass all information to Night Team Leader/Reception Manager or Deputy General Manager.

Operations

  • Carry out full security checks throughout the night, ensuring the security of the premises and the safety of our guests.  Any discrepancies must be reported according to hotel procedures.
  • Ensure non-residents leave the building immediately after late events.
  • Have full and up to date knowledge of the fire panel and emergency fire evacuation procedures.
  • Have full and up to date knowledge of the bomb threat evacuation procedures.
  • Carry out assigned operational tasks e.g. delivery of express check out bills, preparation of morning newspapers, provision of early morning calls.
  • Provide bar service within the Pub, within prevailing licensing laws, as required.
  • Have a full knowledge of the night audit procedures and carry these out to the Company standard.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the cash handling, security and emergency procedures and carry these out to the Company standard.
  • Assist with cleaning of public areas and setting up of meetings and event rooms, as directed.
  • Prepare room service food as required, being fully compliant with H&S requirements.
  • In the absence of the Night Team Leader, carry out full daily handover procedure with Reception team and early Duty Manager.
  • Maintain operational standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene, health and safety and ensure that there is minimal wastage.
