Spa Assistant - Vineyard Hotel

We are currently recruiting for a Spa Assistant to join our Spa, to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, working 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, as a 365 day business you may be required to work evenings/weekends/bank holidays. We are looking for a dedicated and hard working Spa Assistant who possesses great experience in customer service.

Summary of role:

Under the guidance of the Health Club Manager and within the limits of the Hotel Policies, ensure the maintenance of the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all aspects of the operation.

To deliver the highest standards of service required by both members and hotel guests.

To be fully aware of all the services and facilities offered within the hotel and spa.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the entire Spa in particular the changing rooms, toilets, showers and relax areas. These should be kept in a neat, tidy and sanitary manner in accordance with the Health Club Manager and Health and Safety Standards
  • Will be expected to ensure that there is a continual supply of clean and tidy lockers available. To ensure that the robes, slippers and towels are dry and in good condition.
  • To tour guests and prospective members around the Spa and advise guests on the use of the facilities
  • To have good knowledge of all treatments, services and programmes available within the Hotel and Spa, and any promotions that may be on offer at the time.
  • To participate in training and personal development programmes within the Hotel and Spa as required.
  • To ensure a warm friendly welcome to all clientele at all times.
  • Transport, set up and maintain all linen supplies to spa area to include: pool area, treatment areas, public areas and other areas as specified by the Health Club Manager.
  • The cleanliness and neatness, stocking and organising of all areas. All towel stations, public areas, storeroom items, beverage stations, pool area always stocked to standard. Complete daily opening, operating and closing checklist per area.
  • To aim to give the clientele the best possible service, and make the client feel important.
  • To have full retail knowledge of products and prices charged.
  • To receive training to ensure that all-relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety at work Law and Health and Hygiene standards are implemented and monitored within the Spa.
  • To show a professional attitude at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance and general manner.
  • To report any maintenance issues within the spa to management.
  • To abide by Health and Safety Regulations as required by Law

In order to be successful in this role as a Spa Assistant, you will need to have great experience in customer facing roles, preferably within a 4/5* Hotel environment. Spa Assistant is required to be a competent swimmer and be over 18 years old.
