Chef de Partie - Sprowston Manor Marriott Hotel, Norwich

Located to the North East of Norwich, Sprowston Manor is part of an exclusive collection of Marriott country clubs. Set in a 16th century manor house, there is great access to the many nearby cultural, shopping and social attractions of the city centre. Also nearby are the international airport, Norwich Football Club and the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.

Read and analyse banquet event order in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc. Set up banquet area/room, ensuring cleanliness and proper set up. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness and rectify any deficiencies. Communicate with guests and other employees to ensure guest needs are met. Ensure staff is working together as a team. Direct final breakdown and clean up of function rooms. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model.
