The Holiday Inn London - Kensington High Street it’s a 706 bedroom 4 star hotel with 13 meeting rooms and extensive spa facilities. We are looking for a Reservations Manager to join our busy and professional team on a part-time basis from September 18 until April 19. Please note that this is a job share, so ideally, we would like someone who can cover on the other job sharer’s days off. We need someone, who is charismatic, professional and well groomed.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

 

  1. To achieve and exceed agreed revenue targets
  2. To identify new leads and pass onto Sales department
  3. To have knowledge of the trading conditions, needs and sales objectives of the hotel
  4. To keep up to date product knowledge on IHG
  5. Lead the team and assist with daily tasks
  6. To manage the team to reach our winning metrics targets
  7. To drive more direct business

Administration

  1. To ensure all telephone calls are answered courteously and efficiently
  2. To take reservations for bedrooms according to Hotel standard and enter into the system
  3. To quote according to supply and demand and future potential revenue gain
  4. To check through arrivals for on the day, 1 week and 1 month in advance
  5. To have thorough working knowledge of all computer and manual procedures, and to be fully aware of all booking restrictions and adhere to them on a daily and future basis
  6. To communicate constantly with Reception and F&B departments to ensure the smooth check-in and stay
  7. Produce and check daily reports, ensuring that the previous day’s reservations are accurate and confirmations are sent.
  8. To have an accurate working knowledge of the hotel bedrooms and public areas in order to show current and potential clients the hotel and facilities
  9. To be aware of our top ten corporate accounts and all other VIP guests, allocating rooms accordingly.
  10. To chase all unconfirmed bookings ensuring they are confirmed or released in accordance with hotel policy.
  11. To strictly observe all credit procedures in line with PCI compliance
  12. To be fully aware of and to be able to act upon fire, health and safety and security procedures.
  13. To assist or complete the monthly team rota and timesheets for payroll
  14. To keep regularly up to date with any IHG training

Person specification

 

  1. Previous Reservations management experience
  2. Knowledge of Opera, Perform, with excellent excel experience
  3. Good level of spoken and written English
  4. Able to present a professional image of the Hotel
