Job Details
Who we’re looking for
This is a big role in a big property, with huge number of meeting and events: a typically busy day sees up to 1400 delegates use our space, and we have plenty of days like that! Managing the M&E function and team is a significant and central part of this role, and will need an experienced hand to evolve the culture to a leading 4* events hotel.
You’ll be an expert operator, visibly leading your teams in the operation by being present and working with them to iron out day to day “pinch points” whilst ensuring robust planning and scheduling is in place. With a highly credible style, you’ll also be adept at managing big clients with complex events needs and requirements, hosting pre-meetings for events and ensuring all operational angles are sound.
You’ll also have the fantastic opportunity to develop and embed the brand new flagship restaurant “1705”, by re-evaluating and reshaping the service and proposition to improve its commercial value and make it a destination restaurant with renown.
By really joining the departmental teams together, you’ll create an operation that runs harmoniously and is a real cut above our competitors. In all, this role will be responsible for managing 10 departments within the property, with a colleague headcount totalling approximately 250.
What’s in it for you?
We’ll stretch you. We’ll give you autonomy to try new ways of working. We want you to put your stamp on the operation. We’ll help you maximise your strengths and support you to develop. We’ll celebrate your success with you, shoulder to shoulder, as you lead one of our most iconic, landmark hotels.
This would be an ideal role for someone who is aspiring to be a General Manager one day: Beaumont Estate has a great deal of learning and development to offer a current deputy manager in a large property.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your commercial skills through involvement in forecasting, property strategy and sales, under the leadership and guidance of the Venue Director. You’ll be part of the hotel exec team, so will work with senior hotel peers in shaping and directing the development of the property.
And it goes without saying that you’ll get a great salary, package and benefits too, because we pay great money for great operators.
