    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT department. Our support/project functions are crucial to the success of the business by supporting the trading divisions in their growth plans. This role will mainly focus on delivering Network related Infrastructure projects and support predominantly but not wholly based on the Cisco hardware and software platform. 

    This role is based in Wolverhampton and will require occasional travel throughout our UK estate.

    Could you?

      Work in an established team of six delivering Infrastructure projects across a wide variety of technologies such as Servers, Storage, Software and Communications. This role will be more focused on network related projects to include network hardware, software and security Take responsibility for planning, implementing and handover of projects Take responsibility for keeping network hardware and software versions within supported and best practice levels Test and implement changes to Infrastructure to support service continuation/improvement and application projects Produce and maintain of quality documentation Keep up to date with current and future technology Provide support and involvement in problem management

    Are you?

    • A highly motivated self-starter who can manage their agreed programme of work with little direction
    • An excellent communicator with the ability to engage and co-ordinate activities with various stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
    • A team player who works well in a “relaxed but professional” environment
    • Someone with an in-depth understanding of network technologies to include: LAN, WAN, Corporate Wi-Fi, Datacentre LAN, Firewall’s (ASA) including IDS/IPS (ideally firepower), Cisco ISE, Network Management applications and network related security
    • Someone with at least 3 years’ experience within a similar role
    • Someone who holds a current Cisco certification to at least CCNP level
    • Experienced within Voice technologies, for example having used Skype for Business would be advantageous
