Application Support Technician - Newport

We are looking for an Application Support Technician to join our IT Department here at the Celtic Manor Resort.

This position is for a person wanting to work in a dynamic industry, with an ever expanding business who will have a hunger to learn and a genuine interest in IT. The candidate will work with a well motivated team hungry to teach the right person the skill sets for a great future in IT.

The candidate will be expected to carry out first line support for IT jobs which includes first line application support, network trouble shooting, Event set up, Bedroom first line support. be confident and have a good knowledge of IT of national diploma level or higher. Ideally will also have a ICDN1 or compTA Network qualification.


The candidate will be exposed to a vast array of systems and be working within a team to gain knowledge on all aspects of desktop and application support. The person will be also gain knowledge on network administration and implementing the skills they learn to carry out daily jobs to help the business function.


They will be part of a team who are used to working with tight deadlines to achieve the departmental goals.


The candidate will be expected to follow departmental SOP's and team instructions to ensure jobs are complete to departmental standards.
