Working from our Cambridge Office in Ida Darwin Hospital, we are looking for an individual with experience in the building and construction industry to join our friendly, supportive, and highly customer focussed multi-trade team in delivering all estates related maintenance and additional works to our NHS customer properties across the Cambridge and Peterborough areas.

Serco is an established provider of services to the NHS and we pride ourselves in delivering a quality and high standard of service which cannot be rivalled.  A service, that continues to develop and continuously improves for the benefit of our customers, staff, patients and visitors.

Our Estates service in Serco ASP covers both reactive and planned maintenance delivered through a mix of our in-house team and specialist contractors.  We also provide additional minor works, capital project work, grounds services and statutory compliance management.

Across the wide port-folio of buildings for which we provide estates maintenance services to, you will be responsible for working with the Operational Team in delivering small ‘minor’ works projects and installation work across a wide range of services, plant, equipment, infrastructure and systems covering electrical, mechanical and building services through the use of our ‘in house’ team and approved nominated sub-contractors.

The management of minor works will include obtaining specifications, quotations, pricing and materials from sub-contractors to planning, quality checking and signing off work – all managed within strict financial instruction criteria, both internal to Serco and our customers and with the use of our Facility Management software.

The successful candidate will have a strong team ethos, show commitment, flexibility, versatility, good communication skills and strong work ethic with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload.

“Bring your passion and enthusiasm and we will provide you with the tools to succeed.”

If this sounds like the role for you and to be part of a motivated community team delivering to the NHS then please apply and upload your CV today.
