Hotel Director of Sales - Gorse Hill Hotel, Woking

The recently refurbished Gorse Hill Hotel in Woking is now recruiting for a motivated, confident, Director of Sales, who has a great understanding of the events industry and who loves selling the dream and building relationships.

About The Role Of Director Of Sales

We want a person who knows what it takes to go above and beyond client expectations to find the best possible solution for their events – at the right price.

We are looking for a person who:

  • Is flexible, self-motivated and can work well as part of a proactive sales team.
  • Is highly organised, thrives on pressure with a keen attention to detail.
  • Likes building and developing great relationships

The successful candidates will be required to find and develop new clients, manage multiple relationships and deliver against revenue targets, all whilst having fun and developing their career in sales

Your Mission… should you choose to accept it:

Working as part of the business development team, you will be developing new business opportunities with SME level companies, qualifying opportunities, meeting clients, and bringing home the sale. You will need to be resilient, target focused and competitive, with a desire to do well and drive top line sales growth.

Skills / Experience

The successful Director of Sales candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in either hotels, venues, or agencies in a proactive sales role.
  • Experience both with direct corporate clients and third party agency is essential.

Applicants must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office package and a valid driving license.

If you are keen to share your expert knowledge, insight and relationships, you could be just the person for the job! Above all, you need to be able to build rapport with both clients and suppliers and to deliver solutions to challenging requests in a fast-paced environment. Of course, you will also need the usual skills, such as financial acumen and excellent communication.

Salary Package / Benefits

  • Basic salary range from £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus scheme: 1% of all of your delivered revenues and is uncapped
  • Car allowance of £3,000 per annum
  • 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays
