Verification Engineer - Asset Management - Monfalcone, Italy - Shore Based

Our Corporate Shipbuilding team in Monfalcone is responsible for the major task of overseeing the company’s new build projects. Managing the process, co-ordinating the specifications and inspecting the build, for every part of each new build are key activities in this team.

As part of the Asset Management New build team the Verification Engineer’s role is to assist the Asset Management Engineer with ensuring the quality of data being entered into the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) of selected New Build Vessels. This will involve physical verification of all assets fitted to the vessel at new build and cross referencing against data entered into the PMS.

The Verification Engineer will also play a key role in building up a strategic maintenance plan for the assigned vessel, which is aligned to wider corporate vessel maintenance strategy, as well as acting as key interface between the ship yard and Carnival.

The candidate will also be expected to assist with other strategic initiatives such as condition based maintenance system implementation, asset life cycle projects and any other technical projects as directed by the VP, Asset management.

In order to be successful within this role you will be educated to degree level in marine, electrical or mechanical engineering, and ideally you will be a Licensed Marine Engineer, and have experience in shipping or the shipbuilding industry.
