Main Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible to plan and coordinate the guest experience to ensure the highest levels of guest service and hospitality. To have an overall knowledge of Hotel operations, specifically the Front of House Receptionist duties.

This position includes varying shift timings, including weekends and bank holidays.

Job specifics

  • At all times strives to represent Sopwell House in the most professional, courteous and efficient manner.
  • To use knowledge of guest preferences to enhance the guest experience.
  • Provides guests with a 5 star luxury customer service thriving to go the extra mile at all times.
  • Will assist all departments in emergency situations.
  • Ability to assist guests with special requests and reservations to local restaurants, activities and any transportation requests.
  • Handles any guest concerns and complaints with empathy and using a hospitable manner, resolving them as quick as possible and with limited impact on revenue.
  • To be a “brand ambassador” at all times ensuring brand integrity and clarity.
  • Maintains guest confidentiality in terms staff and guest information at all times.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  •  Previous experience working in a Front of House supervisor position, Guest Relations Officer, Guest Services Supervisor

•           Two to three years working as a supervisor or assistant manager in Rooms

•           Knowledge of hotel operations and specifically Rooms Division

•           Professional etiquette in written and oral presentation

•           Strong and professional communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

•           Able to perform the tasks of a Front of House Receptionist

•           Excellent customer services skills
