Salary

£14,400 to £15,600 per annum (£24,000 to £26,000 Full Time Equivalent)

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

Working 3 or 4 days a week – Mainly Monday to Friday dayshift, but flexibility will be required in order to cover shift workers. The role will require working at both our Leeds and Manchester Supply sites.

 

Job Description

Reporting to an Occupational Health Advisor you will be responsible for undertaking health surveillance with employees working in our Leeds and Manchester supply sites.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Management and maintenance of all relevant technical equipment (spirometer, audiometer, Keystone), systems and processes;
  • Conduct audiometry, spirometry, vision screenings and basic screenings (BP, height, weight)
  • Maintain up-to-date electronic / paper records in accordance with data protection requirements
  • Liaise with OHA to identify employees who required more frequent observations or further investigations
  • Assist with health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
  • Review of Health Assessment forms for all new starters appropriate to position applied for under the direction of the OHA
  • Referring results and areas of concern to OHA for verification and interpretation
  • Providing support for other business initiatives

Skills

Essential:

  • Good IT skills (comfortable to use MS Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communications skills (both verbal and written)
  • Flexibility in availability for working hours as may be required to work different shifts
  • Driving Licence 
  • Experienced in undertaking spirometry, peak flow, audiometry, vision screening and health screenings
  • Certificated training in all spirometry, peak flow, audiometry, vision screening
  • Self-starter; Confidently able to work by self on own initiative, and prioritise work load
  • Occupational health or health care setting experience

Desirable:

  •            Food industry experience
  •            First Aid at Work qualification
