Tooversee the Front Desk during scheduled shifts.To promote a high degree of

 

 

Jobefficiency from all Front Desk associates in order to ensure the highest levelsof guest service and maximising revenue

 

 

 

Job SummaryThe following arespecific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successfulperformance of the position:

 

 

Ensurethe switchboard is answered within 3 rings and all messages or faxes are passedto the guest within five minutes of receiving

 

Takeindividual reservations using the Marsha Reservations System and be able todeal with advance reservations, taking bookings and special requirements, wherenecessary

 

Operateswitchboard and deal with messages and enquiries as required

 

Receiveguests on arrival following 1st Ten, ensure all guest information isentered into the Front Office System

 

Postall transactions on a regular basis, to ensure that all bills are kept up todate and ledger Paymaster Bills during the shift

 

Preparecash for banking on a daily basis, complete shift paying and balancing ofshift, assisting colleagues as necessary.

 

Ensurethat a proper handover takes place and that all relevant information is passedover from shift to shift

 

Ensuringthat a high level of customer care is maintained at all times, especially whenunder pressure. Record and deal withguest complaints, comments and inform the manager on duty

 

Undertakeany other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager/Head Receptionist

 

Maintainthe guests privacy code of conduct at all times

 

Maximiseprofits through in-house selling.Assist in achieving 100% occupancy

 

Scoutand enrol guests into the Marriott Rewards programme and ensure achievement ofmonthly targets

 

Assistthe senior front office supervisor in compiling rotas and reports in theabsence of the Front Office Manager

 

Provideaccurate and detailed handover for the next shift

 

Attendmonthly meeting with the Front Office Manager/team building/group training

 

Observeand follow procedures for Health & Safety, Fire, Accidents, Crime andEvacuation

 

Liaisewith Housekeeping, Concierge and AYS on a regular basis to ensure maximumcommunication takes place

 

Ensurefloats are counted and balanced at start and end of shift and they are secureat all times. Blind Banking procedures are followed along with all local andMarriott policies and procedures.
