Groups Coordinator

Full Time Position £22,000

Your role in our family:      

  • Manage Conference & Events Rooming lists daily and ensure rooms are sold to their maximum potential
  • Ensure all Group bedroom bookings are chased, confirmed or released and their status is updated daily in Opera
  • Ensure all group blocks are imputed to the system, along with all rooming lists and billing instructions are set up correctly and a VIP structure for each rooming list input with relevant seniority
  • Issue appropriate departments with group brief sheets prior to arrival of larger groups
  • Pro-actively chase provisional room blocks on a daily basis
  • To effectively monitor room inventory, ensuring that the inventory is allocated and restricted properly
  • Meet clients as requested to discuss their bedroom requirements
  • To handle comments, complaints or queries with immediate action
  • Ensuring guest liaison & client loyalty development. Regularly contacting key clients & resolving any queries that may arise, building client rapport & increase repeat client % year on year
  • To ensure the integrity & accuracy of the data in the property management system
  • Actively promote the company in a professional manner at all times including the organising and attending client events, networking and familiarisation visits as required

What would make you the perfect fit?

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Groups role
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Opera experience essential
  • Revenue function knowledge an advantage however not essential
