Main role and objectives:
As Sous Chef you will be required to assist in the overall activities of the kitchen operation in coordination with the Executive Chef.
Your responsibilities:
-
Maintains food quality and presentation in each outlet & banqueting.
Assistance with development of new menus for A la carte restaurants, banqueting facilities, room service & special events.
In conjunction with the Executive chef, supervise kitchen & stewarding team members during food production & service.
- Initiate Technical and Behavioural Skills Training, ensuring the timely completion for new team members Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
What we are looking for:
Someone with experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel or restaurant kitchen
- Able to work in a busy environment during service periods
- An individual truly passionate about food with a proven track record of creating an inspirational dining experience
- Someone who is great at creating and maintaining positive and productive working relationships across the business, communicating effectively in a range of situations
- A Chef who is passionate about engaging, inspiring and taking ownership for the development of their team
- Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment
- A person who easily connects with others and can live up to our mission statement: Inspiring our guests through individuality and passion!
