Due to our successful recruitment drive supporting our private client on their country estate in central Bedfordshire, they have now requested us to help them recruit an Assistant House Keeper to work alongside their current housekeeping team.

As the family has a busy work and social schedule there is a team of professionals to help the estate run smoothly at all times, with extra guests arriving at the weekend this can be a busy time for all staff so they are now seeking a house keeper that can cover Wednesday to Sundays to help support the team were required.

You would be reporting into the Estate Manager and the role will be based on a 5 day, 40 hour week. If the Estate is less busy over the weekend the Estate Manger will always review the rotas to provide days off if required over the weekend period. The estate has seen the main house undergo a major renovation project, including the staff accommodation. The house can spend periods of time with few or even no guests, busy periods can see 20 + guests staying at any one time.

It is essential that you have previous experience within this type of position, laundry and Ironing is your forte and are hardworking and conscientious.

Housekeeping Duties:

• To support the house with housekeeping duties, laundry, cleaning and ideally some cooking ability

• Able to press/iron to a high standard

• Carry out and oversee housekeeping in main house and leisure building

• Can carry out laundry and Ironing duties to an exceptional standard

• Any other reasonable requests associated with working for a private house or country estate in line with your position

• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
