Linen Porter/Room Attendant - Barnsley House, Cirencester

IMMEDIATE START / Full – Time / Morning and Early afternoon shifts / Paid overtime and Tips / Restaurant and Hotel Discounts / In-house Training / Required: Experience as a Housekeeper

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our vibrant, successful and passionate Housekeeping team, who ideally bring previous housekeeping experience in a similar type of establishment.

As a Linen Porter your main duty is to carry the linen to and from the rooms and around the hotel whilst supporting the housekeepers. You will need to have an eye for detail and be able to prioritise effectively as well as work under pressure. You must be physically fit due to the layout of the hotel and some heavy lifting is involved. We are looking for someone who is able to work on their own initiative, is conscientious and shows good attention to detail.

We are offering a full-time role working 40 hours per week, 5 over 7 days, shifts will be allocated according to business needs and will include weekends and public/bank holidays.

Barnsley House is a beautiful 17th century house, which sits perfectly in the small Cotswold Village of Barnsley, just outside Cirencester. There are 18 wonderful bedrooms imbued with understated country luxury. Barnsley House offers a 4 red star experience to our guests who are looking to retreat to the rolling hills of the Cotswolds. Just across the road too is ‘The Village Pub’. Everything that its name implies - It’s a quality pub offering exceptional food and drink. There are six well-dressed bedrooms, which are almost always on a waiting list!

Please note that this is a countryside location and located approximately 4 miles NE from Cirencester, Gloucestershire on B4425, so driving is required.

The perks when working for The Calcot Collection:

  • Competitive salary
  • Personal development programmes through The Calcot Academy
  • 28 days holiday per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
  • Uniform provided

Company

We're a small, eclectic collection of luxury (but decidedly unstuffy) hotels, inns, restaurants and spas, each with its own personality and story to tell. There's our flagship hotel, Calcot & Spa, which is where it all began, and our newest addition, The Painswick, a rather swanky Palladian house.  While these four properties are all nestled in the beautiful Cotswolds, The Lord Crewe Arms, our 'rogue northerner', sits on the edge of the wild landscape of the North Pennines.
