We
are currently recruiting for an Engineering apprentice. Where better to start
your Engineering career than behind the scenes at Chessington World of
Adventures Resort. In this role you will
work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals, you will learn all about
the Engineering & Maintenance, which goes on 365 days a year, at our
Resort. Supported by your studies, you will gain an understanding of the
statutory and legislative requirements involved in keeping our guests and
business safe at all times. As you develop within your role, you will always
have Health & Safety as your number 1 priority, learning more about Merlin
Entertainments and the amazing career you could have working for the World’s
number 2 visitor attraction business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all statutory, legislative, planned preventative maintenance and work order checks and works have been completed on time and in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
Ensure public and employee safety at all times.
Taking pride in your work to deliver high standards of workmanship in a timely manner to ensure the show goes on!
We treat our people as individuals, so you will have a clear
training and development plan from day 1 of joining us. We will ensure you are
supported every step of the way through your apprenticeship, with both
classroom and practical experience.
We
are looking for the following skills and experience;
Energetic and proactive individuals with a passion for engineering and a willingness to learn and develop within our Resort Engineering Department.
Passion and enthusiasm for our fast paced, unique business and a willingness to understand ‘The Merlin Way’ our business objectives, and live by our company values.
Ideally you will already be enrolled in a HNC/ BTEC course or equivalent to support your apprenticeship, however this is not essential and we would look to enroll you at the next available opportunity.
This
role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week on a Monday-Friday
pattern which will include 1 day at college. As the business is a 7 day
operation there may be times your asked to work on weekends.
