Greggs have an excellent opportunity for a Forecast and Replenishment Support Analyst to join our Commercial team. Based at Quorum Business Park, Longbenton, this is a full time role for a maternity cover (12-16 month fixed term contract).

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Analyst to join the new Forecast & Replenishment Team, who form part of the Commercial Planning function, based in Newcastle.  The main focus of the role will be to support the Forecast & Replenishment Team.  Working alongside IT Support functions, Supply Chain and Retail, the role will maximise availability, minimise stales and waste, and ensure all key events are planned and executed effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and running routine key reports using business reporting tools: Business Objects and Oracle
  • Supporting in the design and creation of reports to meet the business requirement, liaising with the Management Information Team, as required, to gain support and increase capability
  • Supporting and training colleagues in the creation of bespoke ad-hoc reports
  • Supporting the development and training of SAP based system reports
  • Working with 3rd party consultants to develop system functionality in line with business requirements including documentation and training of colleagues
  • Supporting in the identification and logging of any system issues liaising with the Support teams to monitor solution
  • Managing the maintenance of key system Masterdata fields to ensure required settings are in place for the forecast production
  • Carrying out detailed analysis to understand the impact of key trading times in shop sales behaviour
  • Carrying out detailed analysis to determine the impact of external factors such as weather on shop sales behaviour
  • Applying ‘Demand Influencing’ factors to affect the system forecast at key periods including National events
  • Evaluating forecast output in line with expectations
  • Carrying out analysis to understand shop type impact on sales behaviour and manage this in the forecast at key times
Skills
    Highly numerate graduate with a strong analytical background, ideally a qualification in A Level Maths
  • Confident individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An ability to work cross-functionally within Greggs
  • Strong PC skills and an ability to interrogate information using Excel
  • Logical thinker with excellent problem solving skills
  • Results focussed with strong planning and organisation skills
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously within challenging deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels whilst maintaining a strong customer focus
