Buying and Merchandising Systems Analyst - Salary - up to 39,000 + Bonus

George is starting an exciting journey with the re-engineering of its core supply chain systems to support the expansion and growth of its fashion business.  We are looking for a full range of skills and experience to be part of this journey, so come and join us.

 

The programme is expected to be for 18 months and will expand the largest European Fashion data SAP implementation to date and integrate with peripheral end to end supply chain applications.  You'll work with multiple technology partners, the world's biggest retailer Walmart and be at the heart of enabling the future of fashion retail. You'll need to be a self-starter, show great passion and depth of experience in your area and energised to meet the challenge.

 

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an expanding Programme team at George and be part of a newly established Application Design Team.  You'll report into the Applications Design Senior Solution Designer where you'll be supported every step of the way. 
As the Legacy Systems Analyst for Buying & Merchandising you will be working alongside another Systems Analyst who looks after Legacy Buying and Merchandising, but between you covering the full Legacy landscape and ensuring nothing falls between the gaps in the E2E Programme design.

 

This Buying & Merchandising value chain will ensure there are consistent omni-channel planning Processes as well as full end to end purchasing processes. The value chain with include all planning processes, including MPR and Assortment Planning, up to Pre-Shipment Request/Inbound Supply. It will be responsible for ensuring all relevant data/analytic feeds are identified into the planning and trading processes; contract process; cost/price planning and maintenance; promotion/markdown planning.
You'll have experience of solution design with a real passion around current trends.  In your role you'll be an Application specialist, needing to gain an understanding of the George Legacy systems landscape from a detailed systems perspective for your value chain (at the lowest level of detail).

You will work closely with the Technology Application Development team to manage analysis of requirements to a system level and ensure a quality system specification is created for the required solution.  Through strong communication skills you'll ensure the business requirements are clearly articulated to maintain as close to standard business application capabilities and understood to create a high-level design.  You'll create a technical/functional design in readiness for Developers to build or configure the solution. 
This is a new and exciting role for someone who works collaboratively with stakeholders, colleagues and strategic partners across a portfolio of projects, multiple time zones and organisations.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience of Business & Technology Design and Business Transformation ideally in SAP Implementation
  • Experience of facilitating Requirements Gathering Workshops and Proof of Concept workshops to develop and sign-off solutions. 
  • Documenting functional specifications for all system customisations (WRICEF).
