General Manager – South of England

One of the UK’s fastest growing leisure Operators

£50,000 + realistic OTE of £90,000

Our client is a Private Equity backed leading leisure and accommodation operator who have experienced unprecedented growth during the Covid pandemic, with ambitious long term expansion plans and significant financial backing to deliver them. We are partnering with them to identify exceptional individuals to join them as General Managers of their complex, multi-revenue stream customer focused business.

At the start of your career with them, you will benefit from an industry-leading 12 week training programme. This training programme is designed to ensure a successful transition from the sector in which you currently operate rather than the dated ‘sink or swim’ induction provided by many leisure operators. On completion of training you will be promoted to General Manager with the following key areas of responsibility:

  • Take full accountability for all revenue streams as well as overheads
  • Managing agreed budgets for controlled expenses and wages
  • Creating accurate forecasting and budgets

  • You will recruit, retain, motivate, train and develop your team along with their direct reports
  • The effective management and leadership of the sites teams
  • Hold weekly departmental meetings

Health Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure that all legal requirements are in line with policy documents
  • Safeguard all colleagues, customers and visitors safety

Service Standards

  • You will proactively implement and manage excellent customer service standards and strategies
  • Ensure that all customer complaints are managed in line with company policies
  • Constantly review customer service data and develop plans for improvement

We are looking for individuals who have the following skills and experience

  • Senior management experience in a diverse multi faceted operation
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on engagement and development
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with customers and colleagues

Due to the UK wide scale and objectives of the business flexibility around location within the South of England is required to maximise your career potential.
