Reception Manager
Located in the heart of Mayfair, London Hilton on Park Lane was the first Hilton to open within the UK and is close to all that London has to offer, whether it be musicals, Royal Parks or world famous landmarks. Find us overlooking Hyde Park, within half a mile of Green Park and Buckingham Palace, and only one tube stop from Big Ben and the London Eye. Soaring high above the city streets, the hotel is famed for its unparalleled five star luxury. With 453 spacious guest rooms, including 56 suites and a Penthouse Suite, there is something for all. The 28th floor restaurant, Galvin at Windows, offers fine dining and views spanning London. On the same floor, 10 Degrees Sky Bar serves expertly crafted mixology. The ground level is home to Podium Restaurant and bar, where breakfast, lunch, dinner and award winning afternoon tea is served. There is also a Champagne bar - CC Bar, and in the basement, Trader Vic’s - London’s only Polynesian-themed restaurant and bar. The hotel is also home to Wyld by Nature; an eco-friendly nightclub with sustainability at its core. Furthermore, the first floor is currently undergoing renovation and is due to complete April 2022. This includes the iconic Grand Ballroom, Wellington & Harvest Ballroom and the Executive Lounge. Oversee the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards
Ensure regular and VIP Guests are recognised and that we operate a mindset of excellence both towards our guests and our fellow colleagues.
Ensure the team maximises room occupancy at best rates and use top class up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork
Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to learn and understand policies and practices
Mentor staff and support by guiding them to excellent performance levels and stepping in if that’s not possible following company guidelines.
Monitor staffing levels to meet cover business demands
Assist with other departments, as necessary
Act as a Duty Manager of the hotel and occasionally cover Night Manager shifts.
Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to exceed standards.
Ensure all equipment at the front desk is maintained and in proper order for the team to deliver excellent customer service.

At least 12 months of previous supervisory experience in Front Office in similar calibre hotel or 24 months in a smaller operation.
Great can-do attitude with great communication skills
Committed to and takes personal responsibility in delivering exceptional level of customer service
Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
Excellence grooming standards
High level of IT proficiency, experience using OnQ would be very useful in the role.
Experience of managing people and developing people
