HOTEL PORTER

Full Time

24,000 per annum, plus monthly service charge, typically 2,400 per annum

40 hours

With 47 exquisite rooms and suites, four exceptional restaurants and five sophisticated bars. The extensive development has also included the introduction of a tranquil spa and pioneering ELITE luxury gym and executive wellness facility, alongside a stunning events pavilion that seats up to 180 guests with a unique and glamorous champagne and cocktail bar

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that every guest has an excellent and memorable welcome and stay at the hotel, enjoying excellent service and hospitality
• Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring the luggage arrives at the guest’s bedroom in a timely manner, taking luggage to the guest’s car and stored securely when necessary
• Having a varied knowledge of the local area/Yorkshire, the ability to schedule arrangements for guests such as carriages, valet cleaning & route planning
• Ensuring all guests’ needs are exceeded at every opportunity
• Moving furniture and setting up rooms for events when required, ensuring the hotels’ 5-star standards are met
• Ensuring the hotel lobby and surrounding areas are kept spotless, polishing reflective surfaces and ensuring they are dust free throughout
• Maintaining the appearance, cleanliness and safety standards which are set out by management
• Assisting in other areas of the hotel when needed
• Ensuring that you stay proactive during less demanding periods
• Must possess a polite etiquette
• Must have impeccable grooming standards

Key Skills, Qualities & Experience

• Hands on approach to work, always being productive and looking to improve
• Passionate about hospitality
• Detail orientated and drives standards
• Full driving license is required
• Possess a positive attitude and a desire to learn
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Engage with hotel guests on a regular basis
• Friendly, courteous, and helpful with excellent communication skills
• Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues
