Receptionist - Accommodation Available - Lymington, Hampshire
Location: Boutique Hotel, Lymington
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: 5 days out of 7, including weekends, covering early and late shifts.
Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our dynamic team at a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of Lymington. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for all who stay with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Check-In & Check-Out: Efficiently manage guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring smooth arrivals and departures.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, offering assistance with reservations, inquiries, and guest requests.
- Reservations: Handle phone calls, emails, and online bookings, ensuring accurate data entry and up-to-date availability.
- Guest Relations: Address any guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, process payments, and ensure the hotel’s database is up-to-date.
- Communication: Liaise effectively with housekeeping, management, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Security & Safety: Ensure the safety and security of guests by following hotel policies and procedures, including emergency protocols.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred, although not essential.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings. Shifts will be scheduled for 5 days out of 7, covering early and late shifts.
- Attention to Detail: High standards of accuracy and attention to detail in handling bookings, payments, and guest requests.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure excellent guest service.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using hotel management software, email, and standard office applications.
- Local Knowledge: Knowledge of Lymington and the surrounding area is a plus, to provide guests with recommendations and information about the locality.
