Fusion Lifestyle was born in April 2000, when Southwark Council in London realised that if they wanted sustainable, profitable, expertly run sports and leisure facilities, then the solution was to outsource the management of their facilities to the experts. We put our specialist knowledge to work in the community and were so successful that we have expanded to now provide sport and leisure managed services in over 80 different locations throughout the Midlands, London, Southeast England and Wales.
Every one of our sites is unique and has a rich heritage and history. We strive to develop and maintain a high quality range of facilities that are wanted and needed by the local community. It’s not uncommon for several generations of local residents to hold fond memories of football matches, summer lido visits and birthday celebrations at our various sites.
Fusion is a registered charity which means that any surplus (profit) we make is used to enhance and develop our services and facilities. We are accountable to a Board of Trustees that is made up of individuals who volunteer their time, possess business expertise and have an interest in our activities in addition to stakeholders from various groups and communities.

Learning and Development
Goals, progression and training are an essential part of the business, helping to make us an even stronger player in the marketplace.
Once you have been successful in joining the Fusion team, you will have access to all the opportunities provided by the Fusion Academy. The Fusion Academy includes qualifications, foundation and core training as well as development opportunities. We are proud of the bespoke courses on offer on the Fusion online e-learning portal, allowing you to complete training on topics such as a Fusion Corporate Induction including our Mission and Values, Fire Safety Awareness and Equality and Diversity. You will also complete a Site Specific Workbook with your line manager at your centre.
Once you are familiar with your centre you will attend a workshop on how to deliver excellent service and have the opportunity to meet other team members from around the company. You will also be provided with any additional training required for your particular job role.
Fusion also offers a wide range of nationally recognised leisure and compliance based qualifications such as; Pool Lifeguard, First Aid, Pool Plant Operator, Swim teacher and Personal Training certification.
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT
Fusion is a growing business and is always looking out for future leaders to help run our organisation. We look for those motivated, enthusiastic, customer focused team members to take on special projects, make suggestions for improvement and step out of their comfort zone. We offer a host of opportunities for leadership and management development and always look to promote from within.
Apprenticeships and Work Experience
Fusion offer current employees the opportunity to develop through our apprenticeship programme. Existing staff can work towards obtaining a level 2 or 3 NVQ in one of our leisure related qualifications whist learning on the job.
We know it’s difficult sometimes getting started out in your career so we have launched the Fusion Team Leader Apprenticeship Scheme. This is a 12 month program aimed at people who have a keen interest in working in the leisure industry. It offers you the opportunity to learn and earn a wage whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification. This will qualify you to apply for a Team Leader role within one of our centres at the end of the program.
