Grounds Person - Harrow School

Permanent. Full-time. £23,000 to £26,000 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for a Groundsperson to join our fully comprehensive and in-house Estates team, which oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the School’s historic estate.

Harrow has extensive high-class sports facilities including cricket, rugby and football pitches, an athletics track, tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course and two newly re-laid AstroTurf pitches. There are also areas of woodland, farmland, a lake set in a Capability Brown listed landscape, and undeveloped ground including public rights of way that need to be managed.

Our Estates team prides itself on providing the highest standard and quality of workmanship across the School's estate. We are seeking a proactive individual who is keen to take on this opportunity and to develop in all areas of groundsmanship.

Candidates should hold a NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf qualification (or equivalent), have working knowledge of natural and synthetic sports surfaces, and the ability to operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, and able to work unsupervised and outdoors in all weathers.
