Job Description

Position Overview
As the Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the physical integrity of the hotel. You will oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel maintenance management, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding our reputation for excellence. 

Role Requirements
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the entire hotel reporting into the General Manager and the Head of Property & Services for the company.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a skilled team of maintenance team members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of performance and professionalism.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure the ongoing functionality of all equipment and facilities, minimising downtime and disruptions.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in all maintenance activities.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality completion of maintenance projects. Negotiate contracts and maintain positive relationships with service providers.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address unforeseen maintenance issues promptly and efficiently, minimising impact on guests and staff.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, inspections, and service contracts.
