About the role

As Night Auditor / Night Front Desk Agent, you will provide the highest level of service to all guests and handle any requests for guest services and facilities by being fully conversant with all Front Office duties including reception, cashier, night audit, concierge and telephone tasks in accordance with hotel policies, procedures and standards. Your key duties will include;

  • To greet all guests in a friendly and helpful manner and to register guests with full details.
  • To recognize VIP guests.
  • To escort guests to their rooms after they’ve been assigned a room at the rate requested.
  • To enter all arrival details accurately into computer system.
  • To be conversant with VIP amenities and codes.
  • To be conversant with ‘no show’, ‘hold’ and ‘charge’ room policies.
  • To ensure that all rooms are sold at the best possible rate by applying rate of the day program, thus maximizing rooms revenue.
  • To ensure a computer back-up is run every 2 hours.
  • To take reservations when reservations office is closed.
  • To be conversant with special promotions.
  • To act as a member of the hotel fire emergency and evacuation team and be fully conversant with the procedures to follow in event of such an emergency.
  • To create the daily sheet for the next day with correct and updated information.
  • To act as Service One after hours, as well as to assist Concierge in basic tasks when they are unable to do so.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

  • Have experience in a similar position within a luxury 5 star environment
  • Have a passion for your work and the ability to innovate, with a proven track record within luxury environments
  • Have the ability to operate in a diverse and luxury environment with a focus on guest experience
  • Be a self-motivator and someone who is ready to challenge in the interest of continuous improvement
  • Excellent level of English
  • Be friendly, approachable and professional
  • Have a high degree of knowledge in Food Hygiene and Safe Working Practice
